A Day on The Cube

A Day on the Cube was inspired by time-lapse photography.
The movement of shadow during the day between sunrise and sunset touches me gently and deeply.

Three projectors are set up at three different locations, left, right, and top.
The projectors point to one spot.
Three illusionary sides of a cube are three-dimensionally screened by the projectors.

As the video illustration of A Day on the Cube shows, I recreate on the computer the time-lapse of light passing over the cube. I was able to accomplish this by using the Flash program. Along with the visual elements, Piano Sonata K333 by Mozart helps to evoke the peaceful passage of light over the cube as in a sunset.
